Welcome! Take the 360 Tour!
This project was created for a Digital Humanities course at Humboldt State University to provide access to both potential students and students already enrolled in classes who lack financial resources to explore the campus and surrounding areas. The research for this project focused on underrepresented groups and topics concerning students’ sense of belonging and inclusion at Humboldt State University, arguing that a 3D virtual tour may help students in their transition to college, and therefore aide the university in increasing retention rates. As Humboldt State evolves to meet its Hispanic Serving Institution status (25% or more Latinx students enrolled), this project attempts to shine light on where resources and funding awarded to Humboldt State for being a Hispanic Serving Institution could potentially be distributed, as well as how digital spaces can meet students' needs in diverse ways.
We hope to see you soon!
